“Seeing the possibility in everything and the ability in everyone” 

We feature recycled and repurposed earth friendly products handmade here in Northeast Pennsylvania by local folks with disAbilities, other local Artisans and other eco-friendly, peace and Fair Trade products from around the globe. 

As a social enterprise, our mission is to support those with mental health, intellectual and other challenges to live successfully in the community while being environmentally responsible. 

Hands on rECOvery first began as a grassroots program under the Wyoming County Community Support Program to give meaning and purpose to those with mental health challenges and other disAbilities and as a fundraiser for a drop in center. 

After attending craft shows and area events as a vendor for over a year, in June 2010 we opened a brick and mortar shop that includes a craft room where individuals can make items, socialize and support each other. Anyone in Wyoming County with a disAbility is welcome to join us.  Our green, eco-friendly, peace and Fair Trade shop is located in downtown Tunkhannock, behind the Tunkhannock Laundromat at:
